State of Mind would like to send our congratulations to England and Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield on being awarded the MBE for his services to Rugby League in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
One of the most respected players in the sport, Sinfield has led Leeds to six Super League Grand Final victories and skippered England during Rugby League World Cup 2013. He is the all-time Super League leading points scorer and, with over 400 appearances, the joint all-time Super League appearance record-holder.
RFL Chairman Brian Barwick said: “On behalf of the whole of Rugby League, I would like to congratulate Kevin on receiving the MBE. “Kevin has been an outstanding ambassador for the sport throughout his career and a model professional who is a role model to thousands of young players.
“This award is deserved recognition for a very special athlete and a young man who is respected throughout sport.”
State of Mind would like to add our congratulations to a great player and ambassador for rugby league (a Knighthood next?)
