Wakefield Trinity have announced the signing of Eddie Battye on a three-year deal.
Battye – who spent the majority of the 2020 season on loan at the Mobile Rocket Stadium – has joined from Betfred Championship side London Broncos for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old has spent the last five seasons with the Broncos helping the club earn promotion to the Betfred Super League in 2018 before a playing a pivotal role in their first season in the top flight for five years.
Battye has also had two spells with Sheffield Eagles either side of a season with French club Villeneuve Leopards in 2012.
On the move, Battye said: “I’m just really pleased we’ve got it over the line.
“I’ve always wanted to play in Super League and to get hance to do that at Wakefield is brilliant. I loved my time here last season and I’m looking forward to joining up with the squad once more.
“I’ve been at London for five years and it’s a great club. I wish them all the best in the future as I’ve loved every minute there.”
