Warrington Wolves have lost the services of forward James Laithwaite for the next six weeks after he broke an ankle playing on a dual registration with Championship club Swinton.
Laithwaite, who made his Wolves debut at Hull KR last month, sustained the injury in Swinton’s 38-18 defeat at Featherstone yesterday and coach Gary Chambers said he feared the worst after the back rower left for hospital immediately after the game.
Laithwaite confirmed the gravity of the injury on Twitter, saying: “Absolutely gutted this is all I need”.
State of Mind wish James all the very best on the road to recovery
