State of Mind Sport and West Park Rugby Union in St Helens are delighted to announce that for this season have partnered with State of Mind who will offer all players at West Park RFC the opportunity to improve their mental fitness and toughness.

State of Mind Sport is a national charity that uses the power of sport to raise awareness of, and promote mental fitness, wellbeing, and resilience. State of Mind will work with us as a playing group and as individuals to develop our mental fitness and toughness. A similar project was run last season with great success at Bold Miners FC, winning a National Positive Practice in Mental Health Award in 2025.

West Park Head Coach Ben Mousley said “Rugby is not only a tough physical sport, it’s mentally tough, and so this is a fantastic opportunity for all our playing group to be both mentally and physically prepared for the challenges ahead in season 25/26.”

“This is a brilliant opportunity for all our players to work with fantastic professionals in an area that will not only help us in sport, but in life.”
