Leeds Rhinos have confirmed half-back Danny McGuire suffered a broken leg in the defeat at Hull FC.
The Super League champions suffered a fourth successive loss when they slumped 18-6 at the KC Stadium last night, with their misery compounded by injuries suffered to McGuire and star centre Kallum Watkins.
The latter suffered an ankle injury which has yet to have a timescale put on it, while McGuire suffered his break when Liam Watts fell on him during a tackle.
The Rhinos stated on Twitter: “X rays have confirmed Danny McGuire has suffered a break to his fibula bone in his leg, he will have further scans on Monday.”
The news comes amid an injury crisis at Headingley, with veteran prop Jamie Peacock, utility man Carl Ablett and back Ben Jones-Bishop already sidelined.
State of Mind would like to wish Danny all the best for a rapid recovery and look forward to seeing him playing again as soon as possible
