A new rugby league book has hit the bookshelves or e-book suppliers in the last two weeks entitled Rugby League: A Critical History
The book was written by Richard de la Riviere a journalist in rugby league over many years. He has chosen the period between 1980-2013 to examine critically and many events have happened in rugby league throughout this period
Richard lists 100 of the greatest players that played the game during this period of time which will no doubt prompt great debate
Richard studied in Leeds between 1996 and 1999 and watched the Leeds Rhinos and dedicated his book to Terry Newton who took his own life on 26/09/2010. He spoke to Terry as a journalist and saw a “brilliant player and great bloke”.
We would like to wish Richard all the best with the book and can be purchased through League Publications Ltd., Wellington House, Briggate, HD6 1DN and for more details look at www.totalrl.com/shop/
