Hull KR have renamed the new North Stand at the KC Lightstream Stadium after club president and former coach Colin Hutton.

Hutton spent most of his playing career at rivals Hull FC but coached the Robins for 14 years from 1957. He also coached Great Britain to success in the 1962 Ashes series.Colin Hutton Stand

He was awarded the Freedom of the City by Hull City Council last year and continues to be heavily involved in the club, who have previously recognised former player and coach Roger Millward by naming a stand after him.

Hull KR chairman Neil Hudgell said: “Colin was a fantastic player, coach and more importantly person and he fully deserves this accolade.

“The development of the North Stand was a vital one for the future of the club and I can think of no better person to name it after than a man who has given so much to Hull Kingston Rovers over the years.”
