This free to attend workshop has been inspired by the Government backed Mental Health Charter for Sport and Recreation and additional work undertaken across Europe as part of the EU funded project Fit4Healththat is currently developing guidelines for positive youth coaching and competition environments.

The focus of the morning will be on mental health awareness and positive coaching environments within the context of aspiring / performance level youth sport. There will be a strong emphasis on the sharing of good practice amongst different sports, and how sports clubs (both amateur and professional), coaches and governing bodies can respond to the recently announced Mental Health Charter. The workshop is open to all stakeholders involved in this cross-cutting area, and will combine keynote speakers and discussion panels.
