Bradford Bulls Chaplain Warren Evans and Psychiatrist Allan Johnston have embarked on increasing their facial hair throughout November to highlight State of Mind and being mentally fit
Allan works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in North Derbyshire Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment service based in Chesterfield and is a big Bulls fan. He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University in the department of Neuroscience and an Associate Psychiatrist with State of Mind.
He is employed by Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust based at Hartington Unit, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Calow, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S44 5BL.
Warren is Sports Chaplaincy UK Chaplaincy Director for the Rugby League, he is responsible for:
• The development of Chaplaincy in Rugby Football League
• Pastoral care for Rugby League Chaplains and supporting them in the great work they do
• Responsibility for the induction and placement of New Chaplains/Teams
• Intentionally working in partnership with the RFL, RL Cares, State of Mind, Sporting Chance, League13 to best support them
Warren is also the Club Chaplain and Pastor for the Bradford Bulls Super League Rugby Club where he is responsible for:
• Pastoral care for the corporate, community and coaching staff
• Pastoral care for the professional players
• Leadership responsibilities providing independent advice and tailored counselling/ facilitation.
• Trustee and Vice Chair of the Bradford Bulls Foundation – An independent charity and community arm of the club
