The five-piece band, who specialise in musical theatre, will sing the Challenge Cup’s traditional hymn Abide With Me and the national anthem God Save the Queen prior to kick-off.

Collabro, who have backed up the success of their debut album ‘Stars’ with their second album ‘Act Two’, spoke of their delight about performing at the historic match, which this year will take place 120 years to the day since the sport’s foundation.

“We are very excited to be singing at Wembley Stadium before the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final,” said band member Michael Auger.

“We’re all huge sports fans and can’t wait to step out on to the famous Wembley turf to meet the players and perform in front of a passionate crowd.

“To have this opportunity on the day that Rugby League celebrates its 120th birthday makes it even more special for us.”

RFL Marketing Director Mark Foster said: “It’s great to have a band with Collabro’s talent and profile at the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final.

“They were terrific in Britain’s Got Talent last year and I’m sure they will be well received by the best fans in British sport.”

Tickets for the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday August 29 costs from just £20 and can be purchased by visiting www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk or calling the Rugby League Ticket Hotline on 0844 856 1113.

State of Mind also think that Richard Hadfield looks remarkably like Danny Sculthorpe singing but they definitely do not sound the same!
