Castleford Tigers have given forward Matt Cook a 12-month contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2018 First Utility Super League season.
The Tigers also have the option to extend the 29-year-old former Bradford Bulls, Hull KR and London Broncos player’s deal for a further 12 months after impressing in his first two seasons with the club.
Castleford coach Daryl Powell said: “Matt Cook has shown at the end of the season his potential as a player who is still growing.
“I expect him to be a big part of an outstanding pack over the coming seasons and I am delighted he has agreed to extend his contract.”
