Castleford Tigers forward Matt Cook has signed a 12-month contract extension that will keep him at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle until the end of 2017.
The 29-year-old former Bradford Bulls and Hull KR player joined the Tigers 12 months ago from London Broncos and made 17 appearances in 2015.
“I’m over the moon to be staying at Castleford for the next two years,” Cook said. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of this team.
“I feel very settled at the club and I think that comes down to the club culture and how tight knit the boys are.”
Castleford coach Daryl Powell said: “Cooky has been a quality signing for us with his energy and athleticism being two great strengths.
“I’m confident he has a whole heap of further development in his game and I am really pleased to extend his deal and secure his services for the next two years.”
