State of Mind are new Rebels charity partners for 2014 and we are proud to be associated with the Rebels as a forward thinking club in an expansion area for rugby league

Keltek-sponsored South West Challenge Cup holders Cornish Rebels RLFC are thrilled to announce that they will be working with the national rugby league players welfare initiative State of Mind throughout 2014.

Founded in 2011 State of Mind is a programme which aims to improve the mental health, well-being and working lives of rugby league players and communities through player interaction sessions and by encouraging players to speak openly about personal issues such as sudden injury, retirement or simply the every day ups and downs of the game.Cornish rebels

“It gives us immense pride that such a well established and nationally recognised organisation want to work with our club.” said Rebels’ commercial director Rob Butland.

“Like all clubs, we take our players’ welfare very seriously, and we feel that State of Mind represent a very real problem within rugby league at all levels. Their profile within the game is huge, and they have worked with some of the biggest names in world rugby league, as well as across other sports, and we can’t wait to get started!”

State of Mind will also have a place on the Rebels’ brand new 2014 Playing Kit, which is being manufactured by ZOO Sports. The club announced in December that they have agreed a sponsorship deal with Keltek Cornish Brewery and the future certainly looks very bright for Cornwall’s rugby league team.

We are delighted to help out a team where rugby league is spreading its wings and would like to thank Rob for setting up the link and we look forward to coming down to Cornwall later this year!
