State of Mind would like to congratulate St Helens stalwart Kel Coslett on being awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Coslett, 72, has been involved with St Helens for over 50 years having joined them from Welsh rugby union and is currently the club’s Gameday Manager.
“Every sport needs people like Kel and I am delighted that his outstanding contribution to Rugby League has been recognised with the British Empire Medal,” Brain Barwick
“On behalf of everyone involved in Rugby League I would like to congratulate Kel on this richly-deserved accolade.”
Coslett still holds the St Helens club records for most appearances and points and famously led St Helens to Wembley wins in both 1972 and 1976.
