The Cornwall Rugby League Association can today announce that the first game in the 2015 County of Origin series will take place on Sunday 24th May at The Recreation Ground, Redruth.
The annual fixture between Devon and Cornwall Competing for the Martin Roddy MBE Cup is being expanded to a three-test series for the Summer as the sport continues to expand in the South West of England.
The CRLA are continuing to lead from the front and developing Rugby League with innovation by using crowdfunding to generate the funds required to stage the fixture and to further develop the sport in the County.
Tickets can be pre-bought with ‘early-bird’ bonuses such as merchandise and replica shirts at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/origin, and sponsorship packages are also available for any businesses who wish to sponsor Cornwall across the three fixtures.
Pledge from as little as £5 for a match ticket and a free gift to as much as £999 to secure primary sponsorship of the Cornwall RL playing kit – There is something for everyone; Cornwall truly needs your support!
The announcement comes just weeks after the launch of the brand new Cornwall Rugby League website www.cornwallrla.co.uk
The Association would like to call on all supporters of the development of Rugby League across the UK and the world to visit the campaign and take to social media to share with all those who may wish to help.
Various packages for both supporters and sponsors are available, or if you wish you can simply make a donation to the cause. There is also the opportunity to pre-order the brand new Cornwall RL playing kit which will be unveiled during the three-week long campaign.
