A really warm welcome again from the club and State of Mind encourage any Dewsbury supporters to support the Rams next year and let them Glenntertain you!
Dewsbury Rams have announce that Wakefield Trinity Wildcats under-20s winger Dale Morton has signed with the club for the 2013 season.
Morton, 21, made 25 Super League appearances over three years with the Wildcats under former head coach John Kear, and was an Academy Grand Final winner with the club in 2009.
Following the arrival of Richard Agar, Morton found himself behind experienced wingers Ben Cockayne and Peter Fox in the Wakefield squad and so spent the vast majority of the 2012 season plying his trade with Rams head coach Glenn Morrison’s under-20s side.
Morton did play for the Wakefield first team in the Boxing Day derby with Leeds and was also a member of the club’s victorious Nines squad in 2012, also led by Morrison.
And now, with significant experience already under his belt, the pacy youngster is eager to take on a new challenge, and sees the Rams as the perfect team with which to realise his potential.
Morton becomes the club’s fourth new signing for 2013, following the acquisition of his 2012 Wakefield Academy team-mate Ryan Wright, half-back Jy-mel Coleman and utility forward Tommy Gallagher, and joins a growing squad already littered with a mixture of young potential and proven experience.
Stay tuned for the announcement of a fifth new signing
