Ernie Benbow, MBE, has received his award as part of the Kings Birthday Honours 2024 from the Princess Royal, Princess Anne, at Buckingham Palace in December

Ernie is a co-founder of State of Mind Sport and made an outstanding contribution on our journey to becoming a charity. Ernie said “This honour is not just about my journey but reflects the incredible people I’ve worked with throughout my life and career. Indeed, it’s just as much theirs as it is mine.”
Ernie has been awarded the MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list 2024 ‘For services to the NHS, to Mental Health in Sport and to Education in St. Helens, Merseyside.’
