After hosting a very interesting webinar “Mental Health in Sport” last week, where State of Mind Phil Cooper delivered a session about the award winning project we now look forward to our conference on 17th July 2014 which looks to address this area in greater depth.
Our one-day conference entitled “Game Changing in Mental Health“ features speakers from The Football Association (FA), The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), British Athletes Commission (BAC), State of Mind Rugby League, The Rugby Players’ Association (RPA), The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), The Professional Footballers Association (PFA) as well as a number of other recognised experts in this field including some high-profile athletes who have lived experience of mental illness.
It is primarily designed to get the sports industry talking in greater detail about the importance of mental health and of building the mental resilience that professional athletes require in order to excel in their careers and beyond. So it would be of particular interest to coaches, medical professionals, player welfare officers and others involved in player welfare and performance in sport.

Game Changing in Mental Health will be held at Maudsley Learning’s award-winning ORTUS learning and events centre, 82-96 Grove Lane, London, SE5 8SN on 17th July 2014 from 9:00-17:30. The event will be followed by a networking reception.
