Hull KR centre Sean Gleeson’s injury nightmare continued as he broke his leg on the final day of the club’s pre-season training camp.
The Robins confirmed on their official website that Gleeson – who made just six appearances in an injury-hit first season in 2013 – had been struck down again in Tenerife.
“Unfortunately Sean sustained the injury on the final day of our warm weather training camp in Tenerife. It’s a real shame for Sean as, much the same as the rest of the squad, he had been training the house down and looking in great shape,” said chief executive Mike Smith.
“At this stage we are unsure as to the extent of the injury and are awaiting further information but we are hopeful of a speedy recovery and everyone at the club will be fully supporting Sean on his journey back to full fitness.”
State of Mind would like to wish Sean all the very best for his recovery in 2014
