Gloucestershire Warriors emerged victorious in this West of England Plate Final, as they had too much fire power for the Swindon A team, who deserve huge credit as the first club in the West of England to have a second team reach the finals day.

Swindon started as underdogs but took an early lead through Dec Ladbrosse, however this stirred the Warriors in to action, who scored 20 unanswered points with tries from Justin Lee, Matt Jones, Josh Llewelyn, Jake Thompson and two conversions from Ash Lewis to make the half time score 20-6.

With Lewis directing his troops well the Warriors scored first in the second half through Ollie Cooper, Swindon hit back when Sven Grove scored this proved to be their final points of the day. Further tries from Ryan Tanner, Dean Cooper and Ash Lewis added the gloss to the performance.

The Dean Cooper try was a classic, as he supported a neat chip kick from Lewis to cross beneath the posts, he also converted two tries.

Ash Lewis collected the player of the match award for his all-round performance.
