Krisnan Inu has signed a new two-year contract with Catalans Dragons.
The centre will remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2018 campaign.
Inu said: “I’m grateful for the club’s faith in re-signing me for another two seasons, and I’m blessed to be at such a great club with an even better bunch of players and fans.”
The former New Zealand international scored two tries in nine First Utility Super League appearances before being ruled out for the rest of the season with ruptured knee ligaments.
Catalans head coach Laurent Frayssinous said: “I am delighted to keep Krisnan with us for the next two seasons. Since his arrival at the club, he has never been able to show us his whole talent despite proving at the start of the season he was one of the best centres in the competition.
“He is working really hard at the moment to come back to his best and I’m really looking forward to seeing him on the field again. He has settled really well here, not only in the team but in the region as well. He is one of the fans’ favourite players, not only for his on-field skills but also for his human qualities away from it.”
