The website LoveRugbyLeague.com has been shortlisted for Best News Publication (Printed or Online) in the Prolific North Awards 2014
Love Rugby League went from strength to strength in 2013, which ended with our hugely successful coverage of the World Cup across our website and social media channels.
Since re-branding ahead of the 2011 season, pageviews and unique visitors to the website have grown year-on-year, representing a 900% growth in that period.
Editor, and Sportbox MD, James Gordon said: “We were encouraged to enter our work by a client of ours, and are pleased to have been shortlisted for this award. The website has been a significant part of my life, and the business’s development, over the past eight and a half years, and it is nice to get some recognition for all the hours of toil and hard work that gone in to it.”
James can be seen handing out State of Mind cards at the State of Mind round last year on the right of the man in the check shirt!
The Prolific North Awards celebrate excellence and recognise and reward outstanding campaigns and exceptional talent in the creative and media industries across the North. The awards feature 22 categories and will be judged by a high-level and independent judging panel.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 1 May 2014 at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Love Rugby League will go up against Leigh Journal, Manchester Evening News, The Business Desk and Warrington Guardian.
