The daughter of Paul Sculthorpe has embarked on her own charity fundraising in her dad’s footsteps and State of Mind would urge all those that can donate to this cause to do so!

Lucy JoI have been growing my hair for the last 8 months, so I can donate it to make real hair wigs for children who lose theirs due to treatment for cancer.

I want to do this in support of my little sister Evie, who on the 19th July 2013 was diagnosed with Wilms Tumour (cancer of the kidney). Thankfully after intensive chemotherapy treatment and surgery to remove both the tumour and the kidney, Evie made a full recovery. I have chosen to have my hair cut on the 27th July, exactly 12 months to the day of Evie’s first treatment.

Unfortunately, due to the chemo Evie lost all her beautiful blonde hair (…but is now back more gorgeous & curly! than ever!!! ). The Little Princess Charity gives these children the opportunity to have a real hair wig as close to their own hair as possible. Each wig costs the charity £350 to make from the donated hair.

I really want to donate my hair and help a little boy or girl have the wig they want. Please, please sponsor me and help the charity to keep doing this. www.justgiving.com/LucyJoSculthorpe/

State of Mind would like to support Lucy-Jo in her efforts to raise as much as possible for this great charity
