Magic Weekend Newcastle
One of the North East’s leading news and sport websites, ChronicleLive, is celebrating the best entertainment events in the region and want to know what you think. The People’s Choice Awards gives fans the chance to tell them that Magic Weekend at St James’ Park this year was the cream of the crop when it comes to family fun and non-stop entertainment.

Held for the first-time ever in Newcastle a total of 67,788 fans packed into St James’ Park and were treated to a full round of First Utility Super League fixtures as teams like Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos fought out a close encounter and the Hull derby entertained a lively crowd on the Saturday afternoon.

Magic Weekend was so popular with travelling fans and residents in the North East region this year that Super League has decided to bring all 12 clubs to Newcastle again next year on Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22 for another two-days of city centre Rugby League action.
