Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have signed Warrington Wolves’ out-of-favour winger Chris Riley on a month’s loan
The 26-year-old, who was a member of the Wolves’ Grand Final team in October, was dropped after his team’s opening home defeat by St Helens last month and has been unable to regain his place.
Riley, who has scored 120 tries in 180 appearances for Warrington, is set to go straight into the Wildcats’ team for Sunday’s home game against Catalan Dragons in the continuing absence of threequarters Dean Collis and Jimmy Keinhorst.
“We have injuries and suspensions in the backs so his experience will really help us out over the next month and he will bring a lot of energy to our team,” said Wakefield coach Richard Agar.
