Former RFL President passes
The Rugby Football League was incredibly saddened to learn of the death of its former President, Colin Hutton, who passed away. Chief Executive, Nigel Wood, said: “Colin Hutton was a giant of Rugby League and a true gentlemen of the game. He dedicated most of his professional life to this sport and spent sixty years dedicated to one club, Hull Kingston Rovers.
“He was made honorary Life Vice-President of the Rugby Football League, the highest honour that can be bestowed by the organisation. He worked tirelessly to promote and grow the game we all love.
“He was passionate about the Academy game and was a credit to all of the clubs he represented and to the entire sport of Rugby League. We will all miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Colin’s family and friends at this time.”
