One of the State of Mind co-founders has been shortlisted for a lifetime achievement award tonight at the National Positive Practice Awards in Mental Health at Bramhall Lane, Sheffield

The co-founders have a history of great achievement where Ernie Benbow is now the CEO of the Super League Players Association (1eagu3) www.leaguethirteen.co.uk/ and Malcolm Rae has won a lifetime achievement award for his work in nursing in mental health. Carol Ede and Phil Cooper from 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust won the Nursing Standard Mental Health Nurses of the Year in 2012 for their work in setting up State of Mind

Tonight Phil has been shortlisted for the award with Professor Anthony Bateman (London) who is world renowned for his work with personality disorder and John Byrne who has achieved some fantastic results working for MIND in Brent London

Phil said “I am highly honoured to be in such eminent company on the shortlist and humbled by the thought of being nominated for such a prestigious award. I did not think I was that old!State of Mind Media Awards

The award ceremony will take place at Bramhall Lane, Sheffield tonight www.positivepracticeinmh.com/ and this week Sheffield Eagles contacted State of Mind to arrange a session with their youth squads as they continue to fly the flag for rugby league in Sheffield and their success has been nothing short of phenomenal
