Jo is a former Rugby League player and coach for Wakefield Trinity Women. Her playing career ended after suffering a stroke during a Rugby League Cup Final.
After suffering with mental health issues, posttraumatic stress disorder and bad depression, Jo is now an advocate for mental health, primarily focusing on females in sport. Jo is Located in Yorkshire and currently works supporting adults with poor mental health. She is currently in the process of venturing into public speaking focusing on empowerment, mentoring, achieving goals and transformation.
“My aspiration is simply to use my own lived experiences to encourage others, to identify and find strategies to enable and empower others to overcome and manage life’s inevitable adversities, and primarily to promote the importance of mental fitness.”
