State of Mind Sport is a charity that harnesses the power of sport to promote positive mental health among our sportsmen and women, fans and wider communities, and ultimately to prevent suicide.

We raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health and wellbeing and deliver education on the subject to all levels of sport, business, education and community groups.

We signpost individuals to where they can receive care and support in their area.

First established in UK Super League in 2011, State of Mind Sport is now a much-loved national charity and international movement delivering its message across rugby league, rugby union, multiple other sports, age groups and territories.

We are currently embarking on an exciting rebranding project in readiness to take the message of the charity to an even wider and more diverse population to further realise the ambition of suicide reduction and improved mental wellbeing.

To help achieve this, we are looking for an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) lead. This role will ensure the charity is reflective of the population it serves in terms of both personnel, values, and strategic direction, as well as the products delivered and the Governance framework that underpins the overall delivery of the charity’s aims and objectives.

This is a not-for-profit Organisation, and this Trustee role is voluntary. Time commitment will be agreed with the right candidate. No previous experience of an EDI Board level role is required, but EDI in a leadership role is essential; a full onboarding and support programme will be provided.
