Symbolising ‘A Whole New Era’, ‘A Whole New Event’ and ‘A Whole New Look’, the innovate designed kit, featuring a wash of green as part of a unique design, has been carefully crafted to celebrate the launch of the Summer Bash.
The new attire will be worn for the first time when Bradford do battle with Halifax, at Bloomfield Road, kick-starting a weekend where all 12 Kingstone Press Championship will be in action – under one roof – in the space of just 48 hours.
Designed and produced by the club’s official kit supplier ISC, the shirt embraces the excitement of the summer season and been purposely designed to support the uniqueness of the weekend, which has been described as a festival of rugby league.
“I am sure our supporters are enjoying the season so far and agree that with the way the team is performing, and with a mouth-watering new structure in place, there is constantly something exciting to look forward this season,” said Bulls chief executive Robbie Hunter-Paul.
“With a lot of discussion and foresight, the sport as a whole felt it important that the ‘Every Minute Matters’ era was blessed with another innovation, deciding to run on from the growing success of the Magic Weekend by introducing the Summer Bash for the clubs battling it out for Super League promotion.
“We too have decided to fully embrace the ‘whole new era’, investing a heap of energy in putting together a completely new playing kit for the Summer Bash.
“The brief was simple: create something fun, capable of amplifying the ‘kicking off’ of summer while igniting our supporters’ excitement for the seven-game weekend.
“As our home kit has a traditional design, featuring the famous red, amber and black on a bed of white, and our away shirt design being a contemporary play on the familiar ‘wall of black’, we felt supporters needed something completely different and fresh. It will certainly whet the appetite.
“We looked back through the history of the club and realised that 10 years ago, in the 2005 title-winning season, our alternate strip was green and its contrast with the traditional colours of the Bulls was extremely well embraced by you, our incredible supporters.
“As a result, this became the backdrop of the overall design. The end result is what we see here in this, the latest addition to the club’s history books.
“We believe we have created a unique and powerful ‘whole new look’ for this ‘whole new era’ at this ‘whole new event’ – and hope you share our love for the strip!”
The kit is now exclusively available to all those who have already secured tickets for the inaugural Summer Bash.
The period of exclusivity will last for just two weeks, however, with shirts going on general sale on Sunday April 19.
