Catalans Dragons captain Rémi Casty has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The French International will remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2020 campaign.
The France International prop, who was the first Frenchman to be named in the Super League Dream Team in 2012, became this season the Catalans Dragons’ all-time leading appearance maker. He has made 264 Super League appearances so far and scored 25 tries.
Remy Casty
He joined Catalans for the inaugural season in 2006 and missed only one season in the club history, having left the Dragons to join the Sydney Roosters in 2014 where he won the Minor Premiership and the World Club Challenge.
Rémi Casty told the Catalans website: “I am proud and happy to extend my contract for two more seasons. The years go by but I still have the mental and physical freshness to give everything for the Dragons. ”
Dragons head coach Steve McNamara added: “Rémi has been in career best form in 2018 and we are delighted that his long association with the club will continue for 2 more seasons. He is physically and mentally in a really good place, his application and desire to achieve success with the Dragons is there for everybody to see.
“As a senior player and captain the influence he has is vital in helping us aim for consistently high levels of preparation and performance.”
