Ian Stapleton is completing his 40/120 Challenge beginning this week

Ian is going to attempt to do 40 miles in 120 hours (5 days) and going to walk the distances during the Easter holiday week

I asked Ian why he wanted to take part in the challenge

“The reason I’m doing it is simple, to raise awareness of suicide and mental health problems. Being a Mental Health First Aider, and I have experienced my own mental fitness difficulties including low mood and suicidal thoughts in the past.”

“I want to help offer a ray of light to anyone and help them to open up, reach out and take a new Pathway. Sport plays a huge part in my life as a rugby coach and after my dark times 5 years ago I never realised just how important having a release is.
