The RFL have announced that it has agreed a three-year partnership with leading isotonic sports drink iPro Sport to sponsor Rugby League’s newest competition, the League 1 Cup.

The newly-named iPro Sport Cup kicked off last weekend with eight first round fixtures involving the 14 League 1 clubs plus community sides West Hull and East Leeds.imagesource (5)

iPro Sport is one of the most pro-active companies in the sports drink industry and has partnerships with a host of sports, including cricket, rugby union, cycling and football.

As part of its partnership with Rugby League as title sponsors of the iPro Sport Cup, iPro Sport will also become the official isotonic sports drink of Rugby League and the England team.

iPro Sport branding will also feature prominently at central events including the three England v New Zealand internationals, Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, Magic Weekend and Summer Bash at Blackpool, which hosts the final of the iPro Sport Cup on Saturday May 23 2015.

RFL Commercial Director Chris Rawlings said: “We are delighted to welcome iPro Sport on board as title sponsors of the Rugby League’s most geographically diverse competition, the iPro Sport Cup, and as a partner of the RFL and England Rugby League.

The iPro Sport Cup second round ties will be played over the weekend of March 14-15.
