Despite the success of both the Olympics and Paralympics in 2012 the London Marathon has denied Matt King OBE, a fomer London Broncos academy player, the chance to enter the race in 2013

Matt said “I have been applying to enter for years, but they say that my powered wheelchair contravenes their rules” Matt stated that he has been told that he is “too disabled” after breaking his neck playing rugby league and may “damage the image” of the marathon according to an article in this months Rugby League World.
