First Utility Super League champions Leeds Rhinos are searching for a temporary site to use as a training ground after their base at Kirkstall was hit by flooding.

With the nearby River Aire bursting its banks at the weekend, all seven training pitches as well the main building at the Kirkstall facility – also used by rugby union club Yorkshire Carnegie – have been contaminated by water.

Having been forced out as a consequence, the Rhinos expect it to be at least a month before they are able to return and are looking for somewhere else in Leeds to train in the meantime.

They are spending part of January at a training camp in the United States ahead of opening their 2016 season with a home clash against Warrington on February 4.
