State of Mind presented a session at the Building Wellbeing Conference at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland last week hosted by Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust which is a mental health and disability care provider in the North East of England.

A host of sporting speakers presented including former Newcastle United, Arsenal, Fulham and Luton Town footballers Malcom MacDonald, Boxer Adam Little, Marathon Runner Aly Dixon, former footballers Andy Brownrigg and Paul Lake told of the effects playing top level can have on their wellbeing. State of Mind’s Dr. Phil Cooper, Jimmy Gittins and Will Stringer made the presentation at the end of the conference which was incredibly well received and former GB Legend Lee Crooks was there in his role with Gateshead Thunder and Emma Rosewarne from the RFL were in attendance.

A range of workshops ran through the afternoon providing insights into fantastic local initiatives including If You Care Share and State of Mind’s Malcolm Rae chaired the event.
