State of Mind Halton will be promoting mental health in rugby communities while celebrating World Mental Health Day 2011 by hosting a series of events during September and October this year. So come along and take part!

Halton’s events will be across four days this Autumn and will be raising awareness of mental well-being within the rugby community. The events will take place on:

Saturday 3rd September at Widnes St Maries, Heath Road,

Saturday 10th September at Widnes RUFC, Heath Road,

Saturday 17th September at Westbank Bears, Ted Gleave Sports Ground, Hutchinson Street,

Saturday 24th September at Halton Hornets, Wilmere Lane Sports Ground, Widnes Lane,

Saturday 1st October at Morrfield

All events will be between 10am-1pm

There will be plenty of activities to enjoy at these events while celebrating rugby and positive mental health. You could meet the Viking players, take part in touch rugby sessions with the Vikings and meet Kemic the mascot or even have a health check/get food, nutrition and weight management advice.

There are lots of prizes on offer too, such as a Kindle (one to be won at each event), cash vouchers, match tickets and Grand Final tickets and Viking rugby jerseys (at every event). A young person will have the chance to win the prize of being the team mascot for the first Viking Superleague match in 2012.

There will also be children’s art activities and tai chi or zumba at the events.
