State of Mind will be heading to the Time to Change Village tomorrow in Blackpool
Warrington-Widnes SOM 04

The Time to Change Village at Cedar Square, Blackpool FY1 1BP is an interactive space, where the public can have open conversations about mental health, whilst engaging in a range of activities and having lots of fun.

The Blackpool Village is involving the whole community and has the support of Richmond Fellowship, State of Mind and Blackpool Council who recently signed our pledge. Working alongside the local community in Blackpool is exiting. Agencies include local mental health services, council and volunteer centre.

Diverse community members are helping to shape this event into something that reaches right across the community, from the planning of the event to the variety of acts and activities.

When people meet our village volunteers with lived experience they will find out more about the realities of mental health. This helps to challenge the prejudices and stereotypes which often lead to discrimination.
