State of mind rolled into the Gateshead International Stadium on the 21/02/12 for a session after training.

The traffic on the M60 due to sheep roaming on the carriageways turned the session from a 6:30pm session to an 08:30pm session. The welcome as ever was very warm and a State of MInd tee-shirt was given to Robin Peers to hand on to the organisers of the North East State of Origin match for MIND.

Robin Peers went on to coach RL in the US and State of Mind had its first venture into the North east. One of the presenters (Phil Cooper) used to live and work in Durham in the 1980’s and could not find a rugby league team to play back then, this situation has changed massively over the past 20 years and great credit should go to the pioneers who have now created a thriving amateur scene in the North East.

State of mind has great respect for all rugby league volunteers who give their time to spread the word about the greatest game!
