The 29-year-old Australian suffered the injury in the second half and was taken straight to hospital. No timescale has been given for his recovery period. Meanwhile, the Broncos are confident that the groin injury that forced captain Craig Gower off in the first half of the match is not serious.

Howell who is now in his sixth season with the London-based side was injured during the second half of the clash with the Vikings at Twickenham Stoop and was taken to hospital, where the extent of the problem was confirmed.David-Howell-London-Broncos-Super-League_2895865

Fellow Australian Craig Gower was forced out of the clash in the first half and will work with physiotherapists during the week, but the club say his injury “doesn’t look too serious”.


Meanwhile, Widnes have revealed half-back Danny Craven suffered a fractured right collarbone during his side’s 28-14 win. The 21-year-old will have surgery this week and is set to be out for 12 weeks.
