Conwy Borough have designated their JD Cymru North Fixture against Colwyn Bay FC in support of mental health charity State of Mind.
The club is pleased to announce that we are designating our fixture against Colwyn Bay FC (that is to be played on 11 April) in support of mental health charity State of Mind.
Club spokesman Darren Griffith’s commented:-
“State of Mind Sport is a charity that harnesses the power of sport to promote positive mental health among sportsmen and women, fans and wider communities, and ultimately to prevent suicide. They work to raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health and well being and also deliver education on the subject to all levels of sport, business, education and community groups. As a club we are delighted to lend our support to this fantastic organisation and to help raise awareness of mental health issues.
As a gesture of solidarity our players will wear a one-off special edition shirt that incorporates the State of Mind brand. We are working on this with our main kit supplier Ian Senior of SK Kits and are grateful for the Football Association of Wales’ support in allowing us to swap our kit for the occasion. Further details of the shirt design and plans for the day will follow in the near future.”
