Yesterday saw the conference at the Etihad Stadium Manchester where projects for improving health outcomes using sport were showcased. State of Mind, with Rugby League Cares, St. Helens and Warrington Wolves had a presence at the conference.

State of Mind and Chris Rostron Genral Manager of Rugby League Cares presented a workshop about our work together following Everton FC’s Community Scheme that targets males and Wigan Council’s approach to involving grassroots rugby league, football and rugby union and other sports clubs. Gordon Pennington from St. Helens presented the project at the club around a smokefree squad and presented after FC Barcelona and the World Health Organisation. James Howes from Warrington Wolves Community Foundation was present informing about the new Timeline that will be unveiled in the South Stand in April.State of MInd 186

Presenters from Holland, Finland, Poland, Spain were around to talk about their work with The Olympics, European Football and The Premier League and Aviva Premiership rugby union in what was a tremendously stimulating day.
