Warrington Wolves and England prop Chris Hill is relishing his first trip back to Leigh Sports Village this Saturday (2.00pm) when England aim to tackle France.

Hill, who was named in Steve McNamara’s 19-man squad this week, joined the Wolves from Leigh Centurions in 2012.

The 27-year-old has become a staple in the England team since debuting in 2012, and the Warrington forward can’t wait to grace the LSV turf again.

“I’m really looking forward to playing back at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday,” said Hill.

“I had some good times at Leigh and it’s a great stadium to play at. We’re hoping for a good performance to take into the series against New Zealand.”

England have won all five of the last meetings with France with the two nations last going head-to-head in the quarter-finals of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

Hill believes that it’s important England fans turn up in huge numbers to spur them onto victory in a challenging encounter against France.

“It’s always greatly appreciated when you play in front of a big crowd,” he said.

“There’s always good support from Leigh and I’m sure fans from other clubs will come together and support us.

“It’s not going to be an easy game by any means. France are a solid team, coached by Richard Agar who’s at Warrington, too. So we need as much support as possible to help us get that win.”

Tickets for England v France at the Leigh Sports Village on Saturday October 24 at 2.00pm are still available, costing £10 for adults and just £5 for concessions.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk or by calling the Rugby League Ticket Hotline on 0844 856 1113.
