State of Mind Sport and Altru Drama have accessed funding from the Isabella Blow Foundation to deliver drama performances across schools in Wigan for year 7 and 8 relating to mental fitness issuesThe performance made its debut to teachers at St. John Fisher Catholic High School and for the students the following day and today sees the performance for teachers land in St. Peter’s Catholic High School.
The performance is funny, fast paced and very moving exploring the issues of mental fitness issues experienced by the characters when planning to deliver a mental health session in school.
The drama explored issues relating to young people using sport, music and fashion to explore the issues in an innovative and creative manner.
Former Wigan Warriors player Danny Sculthorpe and State of Mind presenter will be introducing the afternoon session with Dr. Phil Cooper MBE (North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust after former player and head coach Phil Veivers joined Dr. Phil last week
