Squad Goals Young People and Mental Health

The Squad Goals Showcase event being hosted by the Wolves Foundation at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday 12th March (3.00pm-4.30pm)

Squad Goals is a 45 minute performance aimed at young people in school years 8 & 9 and uses sport as a vehicle to explore issues connected to mental health, body image, self-harm, anxiety and suicide prevention.

The performance uses sport as a vehicle to explore issues connected to mental wellbeing, mental health, body image, self harm, anxiety and suicide prevention.

The play has toured high schools on two separate occasions (funded by Isabella Blow Foundation and UCLAN respectively) and we are keen to show the performance to those working in health and / or education and to explore ways that we may develop future tours to increase the impact of the piece.

This event is designed for health, education and arts professionals who may be interested in seeing a performance of Squad Goals and talking to the development team about the impact of the play so far on young people and teachers.

Kate Cotterell, the play’s writer and the company CEO will be in attendance, as will representatives from State of Mind Sport.

The event is free to attend.
