people's postcode lottery and neighbourhood trust

The body camera trial is part of The People’s Postcode Lottery funding for the society in partnership with State of Mind Sport to support the mental fitness of referees.

The body cameras will aid the training and development of new and existing referees to enable as many people as possible to take part in rugby league across the St Helen’s area. Helping people across St Helens to be physically active and mentally fitter by taking part in the sport they love.

Dr Phil Cooper MBE State of Mind co-founsder will be attending a Rugby League Nines Competition Run by St Helens Rugby League Club Community Foundation for clubs across St Helens.

The referees wearing the body cameras will be completing a feedback survey about their experience in the game and then accessing the footage and their views of how it can be used in future.

The body camera footage will be informing further developments in the use of body cameras across community rugby league
