State of Mind Sport and The Rugby Football League have been working alongside Juice Immersive and M7 Virtual have been finalising the world’s very first Virtual Reality rugby league refereeing experience

The first trial demonstration with the Match Official Department at Ruskin Drive St Helens has taken place and the feedback has been fantastic and one comment made was as follows

“Superb piece of technology, giving a realistic view of whats its like to referee.”

State of Mind Sport will be bringing the experience to supporters and community referees in the very near future

The footage that can be viewed relates to the Super League game in 2021 when Salford played against St. Helens at the AJ Bell stadium

Dr. Phil Cooper MBE said ” I have been watching rugby league for over 40 years and I learned so much by trying out the headset, it reinforces my view of the amazing super human skills that rugby league referees have and we should value their skills more”
