State of Mind are delighted to announce that we will be attending Whitehaven’s final fixture against Newcastle Thunder to mark World Suicide Prevention Day.
In partnership with The Decommissioning Alliance, Whitehaven will welcome Danny Sculthorpe and Phil Veivers to the LEL Arena on Saturday 10 September.
On the day, Danny and Phil will host a session in the Garry Purdham Suite and JJ McKeown Bar as well as having a stall around the ground to talk about World Suicide Prevention Day.
Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK and State of Mind hope to break the stigma surrounding men’s mental health by sharing our own experiences and encouraging open and honest conversations – no one should suffer in silence.
